Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At The Pod Barn, we want you to be confident in the quality of our products. Because we sell live goods, our returns process is a little different from standard retailers.

1. Returns

  • Due to the perishable nature of live products such as copepods and phytoplankton, we cannot accept returns once an order has been delivered.

  • Non-perishable items (such as accessories or merchandise, if offered in future) may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in original packaging.

2. Refunds

  • Refunds are only issued if:

    • Products arrive dead on arrival (DOA) or damaged.

    • You receive the wrong item in your order.

  • To qualify, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photos of the issue.

3. Replacements

  • Where possible, we may offer a replacement shipment instead of a refund. This will be arranged at our discretion depending on stock availability.

5. Processing Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

  • Please allow up to 5–7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
